CONE

CONE is a pair of nesting stools made in collaboration with indigenous Malawian artisans.

Handwoven from palm leaves and dyed with natural pigments sourced from local trees, the stools draw on a basket-making tradition that is both practical and structural — and one that plays a vital role in supporting rural communities in Malawi.

The design uses a double curvature to create strength and stability from a single woven surface, merging geometric precision with traditional craft.
